Last week Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has cared for his wife as she underwent cancer treatment while left-wing media pundits accused him of vacationing and neglecting his duties amid a Covid-19 surge.
Governor DeSantis shared the news of his wife’s diagnosis last October, saying he was committed to helping her through her illness and recovery. He said that as “the mother of three young children, saying that Casey DeSantis is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as first lady.”
The governor reportedly accompanied his wife Casey to medical appointments for breast cancer on December 29 as critics claimed he had abandoned his post, DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw told the Media..
DeSantis spokespeople jumped to the governor’s defense after Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez suggested that the governor was “inextricably missing” and ignoring his responsibilities over the last couple of weeks.
And that there wasn’t any Photos of DeSantis for a while.. (why would he take a photo with his Sick Wife?)
AOC responded with that comment on Twitter after she was criticized for visiting Miami Beach on a leisure trip on Friday.
DeSantis was asked about this during a press conference Monday after progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was spotted in Miami at a Drag Bar over the weekend, and NOT wearing a mask while at a crowded Drag Bar.
