Is Nippon Steel's Purchase Of US Steel A Blessing In Disguise?

There has been chatter on live streams, with people whining about Nippon Steel's Purchase of US STEEL.  When you look at all the different products above made out of American steel, we are blessed that US Steel wasn't purchased by a Chinese or Indian steel company.

Here's a list of Chinese steel companies that could have bought US Steel :

Liuzhou Steel, Angang Steel Company, Hunan Valin Steel, Beiman Special Steel, Baowu, Chongqing Iron And Steel Company, Tata Steel, Bao Steel Group, China Metal Recycling, Delong Steel Limited, Wuyang steel, HBIS Group, Arcelor Mittal  and JFE Steel.

Any of these Chinese companies could spell trouble because they are under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).  Nippon Steel is not part of the CCP.  NIPPON STEEL is a Japanese company, not a Chinese Communist Party company.

Take a good look at all the pictures ABOVE... notice that they are items mostly made in the USA.  The Nash and Hudson Metropolitan is an imported car made by Austin Motors in the UK, made for AMC to sell alongside the Nash and Hudsons back in the 1950s, and sold alongside Rambler from 1958-62.  US Steel was a big supplier of steel to AMC, Ford, GM, Chrysler and independent companies.

Schwinn bikes and other American bike makers relied on US Steel for their metal to make their bikes and parts.

US Steel may have struggled recently, but Nippon Steel is #4 of the top 10 steel makers in the world.  None of these 13 Chinese steel companies made it into the top 10.  The positive thing is this:  US Steel is not part of the Communist Chinese Party's steel industry.
