Jeffries threatens "serious response" against two Democrats who broke ranks to help Republicans advance an anti-socialism vote.
The procedural rule passed 210-208 — and would have failed without the votes of Reps. Jared Golden and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, who sided with the GOP on a measure that also included protections for Maine's lobster industry.
Democratic leadership referred the matter to the caucus rules committee, accusing the pair of blindsiding the party on a vote that was on the verge of failing.
